D-Link DSL-200 USB Modem - Reinstallation
Note: You will need the following files to reinstall the D-Link DSL-200 USB Modem:
dlclean.exe - D-Link DSL-200 uninstaller (396KB)
dl.exe - D-Link DSL-200 latest driver (4.33MB)
First make sure you have downloaded the cleaner and driver files, then disconnect from the Internet. Before uninstalling, navigate to where you saved the dl.exe file on your hard disk and double click it. You will be prompted for a location to save the files, accept the suggestion C:DLink and click Unzip.
Next, go to the Control Panel and double-click on Add/Remove Programs. You will find an entry for "D-Link DSL-200 ADSL Modem" listed. Click on the entry to highlight it, then click on the Add/Remove or Change button. This will now start the uninstall process.
When uninstallation is complete, do not restart the computer. Unplug the USB lead from the modem then navigate to where you saved the dlclean.exe file on your hard disk. Run the dlclean.exe file and click Yes to uninstall the modem. When the dlclean program has finished, click Yes to restart the computer.
After the computer has restarted, navigate to C:DLink and double click Setup.exe to update to the latest driver version. From this point on, follow the original installation instructions.
