Unable to browse - Internet Explorer
If you are unable to browse using Internet Explorer then please try the following:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click on Tools then Internet Options.
- On the General Tab, click on Delete Cookies, and then click on Delete Files, and then click on Clear History.
- Click on the Security Tab. Make sure the security level zone is set at Medium. If not then click on the Default Level button and then Apply.
- Click on the Privacy Tab. Make sure the slider is set at Medium. If not then click on the Default button and then Apply.
- Click on the Advanced Tab. Click on Restore Defaults. Click Apply and then OK.
- Close Internet Explorer and restart your computer.
- When your computer has restarted, connect to the Internet and see if you are now able to browse using Internet Explorer.
If you are using Windows XP or Windows 2000, and the above steps fail to resolve the problem, then please try the following:
- Click on the Start Button
- Click on Run
- In the Run box type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt and click OK. A command prompt (black background) should flash on the screen. After you see this, restart your computer.
- When your computer has restarted, connect to the Internet and see if you are now able to browse using Internet Explorer.
Note: If this fails to resolve the problem, then please try disabling any anti-virus software that is running on your computer and try browsing. Remember to enable the anti-virus software after trying this.
